The Vertical Freedom Foundation has initiated, with emotion and dedication, a project to renovate the day hospitalization space at the “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță” Oncology Institute in Cluj-Napoca – a vital facility where patients receive consultations, investigations, and essential treatments such as chemotherapy..
From treatment to hope – a healing environment
This transformation aims to create a warm, bright, and welcoming space that offers patients not only a place to undergo necessary treatments but also an environment where they can find comfort, hope, and peace of mind.
We believe every detail matters – from the colors chosen to the design and layout – to support both physical and emotional recovery.
Why is this project important?
Oncology patients spend significant time in these spaces for complex investigations and treatments. Through this renovation, we aim to change the perception of these areas by turning them into environments that bring calm and inspiration. We firmly believe that a space reflecting warmth and support can positively influence emotional well-being and the healing process.
A mission inspired by the founder’s story
This project is inspired by the personal journey of the foundation’s founder, Bianca Baroti, who experienced the challenges of chemotherapy firsthand. Her story of resilience and determination inspired the desire to provide a space that eases suffering and instills hope in others.
This is Vertical Freedom’s commitment: to stand with oncology patients in their time of need.

Redirect retroactively, using the D177 form
ANAF Order No. 1679/2022 allows companies to retroactively redirect, through form 177, the profit or income tax to NGOs for the previous year. Even if the tax has been paid, ANAF redirects it based on a sponsorship contract, which can be downloaded from here:
Redirect 20% of your company tax
Companies can simply redirect 20% of their profit tax to an NGO, at no extra cost, through a sponsorship contract signed and paid by 31 December. Sponsorship is deductible if it respects the legal limits (20% of tax or 5‰ of turnover).
