Vertical Freedom brings the first DigniCap Delta equipment dedicated to oncology patients into Cluj’s public healthcare system. The treatment will be offered free of charge.
The Vertical Freedom Foundation announces the implementation of the DigniCap Delta medical system at the “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță” Oncological Institute in Cluj-Napoca, marking a first for Romania’s public healthcare system.
The device, used during chemotherapy sessions to reduce hair loss, already exists in some private clinics in Romania, but this is the first implementation in a public hospital, giving patients free access to a solution that helps maintain confidence, dignity, and emotional balance throughout oncological treatment.
The DigniCap Delta system will be put into operation in June, within the Breast Tumor Center of the “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță” Oncological Institute in Cluj-Napoca.
The purchase of the equipment and its implementation were made possible exclusively thanks to donations from sponsors, partners, and people from across the country who chose to support this cause.
The initiative is part of the “Fir cu fir. Nu pierzi cine ești.” program, through which the Vertical Freedom Foundation aims to offer oncology patients not only medical support, but also resources that help preserve identity and quality of life during treatment.

To use the system, each patient needs an individual kit, with a cost of approximately 500 euros. In order for access to remain free and for more patients to benefit from this technology, we continue fundraising.
