The Vertical Freedom Foundation has launched the campaign “More Than Just a Chair. A Chance for Better.”, an integral part of the renovation project for the Day Hospitalization Unit at the “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță” Oncology Institute in Cluj-Napoca.

Why Is This Space Important?
This unit plays a key role for oncology patients, serving as the place where they receive consultations, vital investigations, and treatments such as chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the chairs currently used for these treatments are worn out and no longer provide the necessary comfort during long treatment sessions.

What Are We Aiming For?

The goal of the campaign is to purchase 16 modern treatment chairs, specifically designed to provide patients with physical comfort and emotional support. These chairs are more than just objects—they offer patients a safe, warm, and dignified space where treatments become more bearable, and hope takes root.

Why Does This Project Matter?

Patients spend hours in these chairs, and poor conditions can amplify physical and emotional stress. We believe that a comfortable, modern, and well-equipped space can significantly improve patients' overall well-being and positively impact their healing process.
